Environmental Chemistry

The environmental geochemistry staff at EWL Sciences have a wide range of experience at minesites where projects include assessments of tailings and waste rock in climatic regimes through out Australia and in other countries. Key interests and skills are in geochemical characterisation of mines wastes, the quality of runoff and leachate, and the fate and environmental impacts of solute loads.

We have a special interest and substantial skills in the design, planning and use of passive wetland filtration systems that are biological-based and minimise water-borne emissions to environments downstream of mines or industrial plants.
